However, despite their growing responsibilities, LHWs lack adequate training and support due to chronic funding gaps. Their mandatory refresher training is often inaccessible, especially in remote areas, leading to a decline in care quality and job satisfaction.

Sehat Saheli was designed with the needs of LHWs in mind, focusing on creating a resource that is easy to use, culturally relevant, and accessible offline. Through features like in-app guidance, user-friendly design, and progressive complexity, the platform is intended to gradually build LHWs’ digital confidence while addressing their time constraints and learning challenges. The app also offers personalized learning paths, helping LHWs feel a sense of ownership and achievement.
